Experience TLE
Watch our Video and see what "The one room Schoolhouse for the 21st century" is really all about.

About TLE

There are four different types of learners:

  • Some children are doers
  • Some children are dreamers
  • Some children are supporters
  • Some children are deep thinkers

There are also three different learning modalities:

  • Some children learn best by hearing
  • Some children learn best by by seeing
  • Some children learn best by physical movement

A traditional Education only reaches 17% of learners. TLE provides a whole brain learning approach – which reaches 100% of learners.

TLE students learn according to aptitude

Our multilevel environment allows students to move up and down the curriculum spectrum according to their aptitude. In other words, students who excel in Math will not be held back but encouraged to excel and in areas where weaknesses arise; small class size provides the perfect fit to establish a firm foundation where excellence can be achieved.

Learning is something that should be experienced. Mastery in all subjects is central to our purpose and we speak to all quadrants of the brain in a 4 step process.

  • Step 1: Interest - We perk the students’ curiosity about the subject
  • Step 2: Inform – We give students the information in an audio, visual, hands-on format.
  • Step 3: Integrate – We pull in information from spelling, geography, etc. and allow the student to create from what they have learned.
  • Step 4: Innovate - Students teach what they have learned to parents and or classmates – this final step increases retention 60%.

A one room schoolhouse sparks "The Exchange of Learning"

Back in the 19th Century, the one room schoolhouse provided the US with the most literate generation in our history. In examining their methods, we found the 4 step approach coupled with a strong emphasis on the three R’s (reading, writing, and arithmetic). We also found that the multilevel environment allowed plenty of growing room for younger students and taught responsibility to older students by encouraging them to minister to others (to whom much is given, much is required).

Imagine a student who struggles in math – and suddenly the light bulb of learning is lit in an area where he is able to help another student achieve success. This is “The Exchange of Learning;” where each student uses his/her God given gifts and talents to serve others.

For example, John Doe Student is still working on establishing a strong footing in mathematics. Yet when he begins to learn graphing, he grasps the concept immediately because he is a visual learner. He then grows in confidence as he works from his strengths to help other students.

Our hearts' desire is to celebrate each child

Often times, things are not as they appear to be. When I began home schooling 20 years ago, it was considered a backward movement. Today, the national spelling and geography champions as well as those with highest SAT scores, are home schooled. Perhaps education is not always presented in its best light in brick buildings with cookie cutter classrooms.

Our belief is that the focus of education is to provide the best curriculum and educators; therefore our facilities are representative. We have a modest tuition and emphasize a safe, nurturing environment where students feel at home. John and I, after working in the Home School community for a number of years, dreamed of giving every student a custom fitted learning experience. Our desire is rooted in the foundations God has planted in our hearts to celebrate each child. We are fully accredited by the State of Georgia and our students are eligible for the Hope Scholarship Program. Our elementary students are above grade level in every subject and the majority of our High School students score higher than a freshman at the college level on standardized testing.

This truly is a one of a kind learning experience.
